Ingredients
50 g butter
50 ml vco
75 g brown sugar
15 ml boiling water
100 g self raising flour
50 g oats
Directions
1) beat the butter and sugar, vco till creamy
2) add the boiling water
3) fold in the flour and oats
4) knead the dough
5) make small balls and put on a baking tray (makes 24 balls and press to flatten)
6) bake in a preheat oven 170 C gas mark 4 for 10 minutes
Varieties
You can have varieties by substiting the 150g flour and oats with flour and nuts or seeds
